Just so Anxious for 6:35 PM!

(pic of my son in a dugout, wishing he could be out on the field with the older, t-ball kids)

I've got ants in the pants. I can't help it.

2007 started out in April with 30 teams, and now we are down to a mere 8.

I don't know if you noticed, but everyone out there seems to have an opinion on who will turn out top dog.

  • Demarco in Denver has the Rockies going all the way...

  • Celizic from NY has the Phillies going all the way...

  • Blyeven from MSNBC has the Angels and the Indians both sending the Sox and Yanks home to their golf courses in the first round.

  • Jayson Stark from ESPN is putting the crown on the Chicago Cubs...

  • Peter Gammons is pinning the WS badge on the Red Sox...

  • Bob Klapisch has those boys from the Bronx as this year's Champions.

Funny. Look out there in cyberspace and read all of these baseball "experts". Mostly sports reporters, writers, and former players. Their conclusions? No overwhelming favorite. Each of the 8 playoff teams get a nod from someone.

It's anyone's game. That's what so cool about the baseball postseason. Even those who think they know everything, are often wrong in their predictions.

More later...
